Surkhet. Gurbakot Municipality has started identifying public land. The identification of public land has been started by including it in the policy and program and budget of Gurvakot municipality for the current financial year.
Gurbhakot Municipality, which has previously identified and mapped 62 ropani public land in Gurvakot 9, now a campaign to identify the public lands in ward no. 8 has started. It is said that the public lands in Gurbhakot 8 will now be identified in the orientation program related to preservation and documentation of public land held at the ward office of 8.
Purna Bahadur Khatri, Chief Administrative Officer of Gurbhakot Municipality and chief guest of the orientation program, said that as he is the officer who implements the policies and programs passed by the City Council of Gurbhakot Municipality according to the policy of the Government of Nepal, the orientation program was organized to inform the stakeholders. Khatri informed that in the first phase of the program, the identification of public lands of Gurvakot 8, the second phase of mapping and the third phase of conservation of public lands will be conducted.
Stakeholders expressed their opinions in the orientation program held under the chairmanship of Ward President of Gurvakot 8 Kiran Kumar B.K. Amin Kashiram Sharma of House Map/Surveyor Sub-Division has been assigned the responsibility of Gurvakot Municipality for identification and mapping of public lands.
